What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a simple membership model where you pay a monthly fee for comprehensive primary care — without billing insurance for routine visits. We chose DPC intentionally to support personalized, whole-person care built around your goals — not insurance-driven constraints. Our approach allows for extended appointments, direct access to your care team, and proactive support.
What About Insurance?
You do not need insurance to become a member at Integrative Asheville — our Direct Primary Care model is built on a simple monthly membership rather than insurance billing. Many of our patients choose to keep insurance for hospitalizations, specialists, or emergencies, but use their membership for day-to-day primary care.
Even if you have insurance, a membership can often save you money. There are no co-pays for visits, and members benefit from wholesale pricing on labs, reduced-cost procedures, and discounted medications.
